The development of Lismore Rainforest Botanic Gardens is an ongoing community project. The site is located on the southern outskirts of Lismore. Over four hectares have been planted with dry, subtropical and riverine rainforest species. Work is proceeding on specialty gardens and discovery trails.
The gardens are a great asset to the City of Lismore, attracting bird-watchers and educational groups as well as tourists and family groups.
The gardens are open to the public with self guided walk maps available on site. Guided tours and other events by arrangement. The gardens contain a wide range of native flora and fauna and are a wonderful place to enjoy a rainforest walk.
