Come on a journey of discovery with naturalist Ian Hutton OAM, as he reveals to you the secrets of Lord Howe’s beautiful environment. With the choice of both day and half day guided tours of remote rocky coves, seabird colonies, unique marine life, rainforests, and rare bird habitats. Weekly slide presentations on natural history are also held at the museum.

There are plenty of stops along the way to observe closely and learn about the history, flora, fauna, marine life, ecology and geology. Personalised tours with Ian to anywhere on the Island are available. Dates are set aside for special tours and information is available on the website.

Nature Tours on Lord Howe Island (World Heritage Island) take a fully guided tour of remote rocky coves, seabird colonies, unique marine life, enchanting rainforests, scenic vistas and rare bird habitats

On each tour, you will look in detail at all aspects of the natural history of Lord Howe Island – flora, fauna, geology, marine life, ecology and human systems. Evening lectures complement the day’s activities.

The nature tour is a walking one from easy half-day walks to all-day – climbing of Mount Gower (optional).

Each day the tour walks to a different part of the island, with swimming, snorkelling and reef walks as well.
