Burrumbuttock is a small village 32 kilometres north west of Albury. Originally settled in 1839 on the 30,000 acre Burrumbuttock Station, the town is home to historic buildings including the Farmers Inn Hotel established in 1880 and the Holy Cross Lutheran Church from 1877.
Burrumbuttock is home to the Wirraminna Environmental Education Centre that teaches guests about the natural environment, the ecology of local woodlands and Australia’s native plants. Its wetlands, bush and landscape are linked by walking tracks and showcase a great diversity of native plants and wildlife. Wirraminna is also home to the annual Farm Art in the Bush Exhibition.
