Nestled in a picturesque valley beside the Macintyre River is the historic town of Inverell, 628 kilometres north of Sydney. Known as the Sapphire City, the Inverell District once supplied around 80 per cent of the world’s sapphires.

Inverell is a mixed farming district with wheat, oats, barley, grain, sorghum, oilseed crops and sheep and cattle.

A thriving commercial and service centre, it has some of the best shopping in country New South Wales.
