Queanbeyan

Urban CBD

Queanbeyan is a prosperous river city, 3.5 hours from Sydney and approximately 20 minutes from Canberra and its major attractions. Nearby are the NSW snowfields and the beautiful south coast.

Take a short drive and you will also discover Googong Dam and foreshore with the newly established Googong Village , along with the historical regional neighbouring villages, of Bungendore, Braidwood and Captains Flat.

Whilst visiting Queanbeyan enjoy a vast array of things to see and do, from cultural and natural attractions, lively events and festivals, markets, historical landmarks and nature reserves. You’ll also enjoy art and sporting galleries, the printing and historical museums, a world class theatre and art works by local and regional artists and crafts persons.

Relax by the river (you may spot a platypus) and enjoy the newly established water park and playground or take a stroll through the interactive river sensory garden, where you can start your self-guided art walk or choose from a variety of other walks.

The city has a fascinating history and it has long been known that it was the residents of Queanbeyan who built the nation’s capital. Queanbeyan is proud of its multicultural society and has the most diverse multicultural community outside of metropolitan Sydney.

From Queanbeyan, explore the historic townships of Braidwood and Bungendore to the west along the Kings Highway.

Queanbeyan is not only a friendly and diverse city, it is rapidly growing and will be a major region within NSW in coming years.
