Walcha; located in the beautiful New England High Country, on the cross roads of the Oxley Highway and Thunderbolts Way – two drives offering stunning scenery, which have long been a mecca for motorcyclists.

The World Heritage listed National Parks (NP) and wilderness areas surrounding Walcha are second to none and surprisingly easy to access including Oxley Wild Rivers NP (Apsley and Tia Falls) and Werrikimbe NP. Enjoy these magnificent areas with picnics, scenic drives, camping, fishing, swimming and bush walking aplenty, from a leisurely stroll to the more challenging four day trek on the award winning Green Gully Track.

The artistic aspect of Walcha is fabulous, the infamous and ever growing, Open Air Gallery consists of over 40 sculptures with local, national and international artists as contributors. This cultural, picturesque, historic town has excellent cafes, pubs, restaurants and accommodation, a museum, art gallery, craft, gift, antique and boutique shops.
