Wandandian

Rural

Like much of this area of the South Coast, Wandandian was historically a timber-milling town. One small timber mill remains but its rural atmosphere is retained with hobby farms, fruit orchards and a vineyard.

Located on the Princes Highway, this small village is a great place to stop to refuel and recharge. Its name most likely comes from the name of the Aboriginal people, but it also has a romantic translation: “home of lost lovers”.
