Follow the Kempsey Armidale Road west of Kempsey through the historic village of Willawarrin on towards Bellbrook turning right before Bellbrook into Nulla Nulla Creek Road. Nulla Nulla Creek Road is where Slim Dusty lived in his childhood, two kilometres past the bitumen on the left. The Slim Dusty Way Scenic Drive goes to his childhood home where you can push a button and listen to Slim talk, travel onto the Heritage Trust Village of Bellbrook and further west to a reserve which is dog friendly on the banks of the Macleay River.
