Branyan is a rural/residential district on the Bundaberg-Childers Road, seven kilometres south-west of central Bundaberg. It is also on the Burnett River, and has flat to undulating landscape.

Branyan is well renowned by locals and visitors alike for it’s Sandy Hook recreational precinct where the Australian Grand Prix speedboats converge annually in November and where locals and visitors alike participate in a variety of watersports on the river.
