Alpana Station Tours offer accredited (Passenger Transport Board of South Australia) full, three-quarter and half day four wheel drive, self drive, tag-a-long and tailored tours exploring the natural beauty of Alpana Station and the central Flinders Ranges.

Explore in the comfort of Alpana’s luxury 4WD vehicle, or your own, on exclusive tracks not accessible to the public.

A full day on Alpana includes a visit to the original pine and pug cottage, shearing shed, the Bald Range Lookout with wow factor views, 630 MYO fossils, natural springs and river cascades. Following wide gum lined creeks that open to the breathtaking scenery of the ABC and Heysen Ranges you will experience flora and fauna, geology, history and land management practices, with short distances of true four wheel driving.

Your driver Sally has over thirty years of 4WD experience, sixteen years of tour guiding experience, Cert 3 in Tour Guiding (Geology), Cert 3 in Education, an extensive and ever growing knowledge of the plants, geology and history of the area and a deep love of the area, the station and the lifestyle, and it is all packed into every tour option.

Alpana Station Full Day Eco Tour

From $200 to $250

Enjoy a full day tour exploring the natural beauty of the Alpana Station area in the Flinders Ranges. Experience the Bald Range Lookout, learn about family history and property management, flora, fauna, geology, natural springs and river cascades.

Operates: Daily from Alpana Station, 9am to 4.30pm.

Alpana Station 3/4 Day Eco Tour

From $170 to $220

Enjoy a 3/4 day tour exploring the natural beauty of the Alpana Station area in the Flinders Ranges. Experience the Bald Range Lookout, learn about family history while visiting the original 1878 pine and pug cottage and property management while on the property, flora, fauna, geology and see natural springs. Lunch included.

Operates: Daily from Alpana Station 9am to 2.30pm – negotiable

Alpana Station Self Drive and Tag-A-Long Tours

From $30 to $60

Looking for a four wheel drive self drive challenge? Try our Mount Samuel Track including the challenging Mount Buggery Gorge. Not much time but want to see the best? Try our Sunset Hill 665 self-drive track. Ask us about a tour to a Flinders Ranges destination of your choice including Brachina Gorge, Mount Chambers Gorge, Nuccaleena or Artimore. Tag-a-long tours are also a very popular option, conditions apply.

Operates: Daily by arrangement, departure times vary.
