Penneshaw Penguin Centre
Things To Do Penneshaw, Kangaroo Island, South Australia
The Penneshaw Penguin Centre provides tours to educate the public about a very special sea bird found on Kangaroo Island- the little penguin! We advocate for the conservation of little penguins.
The little penguins are small in number, and it is now considered a privilege to see little penguins in the wild on Kangaroo Island. Coming on a penguin tour is the most penguin-friendly way to see the little penguins.
The Penneshaw Penguin Centre contains fascinating sea life specimens and informative displays. It is the only operational penguin centre in South Australia.

The tour begins after sunset and guests meet in the Penneshaw Penguin Centre. The experienced, knowledgeable guide takes the group (maximum of 15 people) on an adventure to search for the little penguins and other wildlife within the vicinity. Special wildlife friendly torches are used in the 50 minute walking tour. There are steps and uneven surfaces, but that is all apart of the experience! The tours are educational, entertaining and informal. The tour even includes a light supper- now that is value for money!
