A unique opportunity to follow in the footsteps of Dr. Cecil Madigan as we follow his 1939 camel trek across the Northern Simpson Desert. The Simpson Desert is the largest parallel sand dune system in the world with over 1100 sand dunes to cross. We 4WD across a track that links his camps together in one of the remotest places in Australia.
Our 14 day Tag along Tour starts in Coober Pedy and makes it’s way to ‘Camp 25’ in Birdsville, celebrating with a tour dinner at the iconic Birdsville Hotel! You’ll be amongst the very few who have done this track and we take our time, spending 8 days on the Madigan Line itself. We train as we go and when it’s done properly using the correct (low) tyre pressures, gear selection and track maintenance where necessary, we’ve proven over the years that taking trailers is not an issue.
From Birdsville we head down the iconic Birdsville Track to Marree and on through the northern Flinders Ranges and back to Quorn in the central Flinders Ranges.

Are you keen to traverse the iconic Canning Stock Route (CSR), the longest and remotest 4WD track in Australia?
Then join us on our Canning Stock Route (CSR) Tag along Tour in late May and June this year. We cross four desert regions as we follow the stock route from north to south, just as the stockman did it droving their cattle from the Kimberley’s to Wiluna, watering them at the man-made Wells and natural soaks along the way. This is remote area touring at its best, as we stop and explore all of Canning’s Wells and some side trips over our relaxing 22 day trip, with a rest day at the tranquil Durba Springs. We then celebrate our trip with an ‘End of Tour’ dinner in Kalgoorlie.
Our tour is suitable for those with Swags, a Tent, Tray top camper or heavy duty Off Road Camper trailer, as we conquer this bucket list 4WD Trip!
