Tintinara is the heart of what was once referred to as the Ninety Mile Desert. Known as the ‘Heart of Parks’ Tintinara is central to 10 National Parks, most notably Coorong National Park and Ngarkat, Messent and Mount Boothy Conservation Parks.
Tintinara Heart of the Parks Visitor Information Outlet is the tourist information stop for the upper Limestone Coast and offers a treasure trove of locally produced art and crafts. Located on the main street in the old railway building. It is easily recognised by the railway-themed mural. Out the front are scuptures depicting typical rural life including a farmer and his dogs rounding up the sheep.
Golf enthusiasts will find an excellent 18-hole golf course, 10 kilometres south east along the Duke’s Highway.
