In fine and sunny weather St Marys Seaview Farm is a paradise – the place to visit the platypus dam, walk to the top of the South sister for a 360 degree view or wander around the two acres of beautifully landscaped gardens.
When the weather is not so good it is the perfect place to relax in the unique, rustic, renovated old dairy in front of the barrel heater with good book, listening to music andwatching the storm outside.
Because there are so many varied attractions locally and further afield, trips to these can be enjoyed whatever the weather.
Accommodation is in four en suite units. Of the four one is twin share. All have magnificent views of ocean, rolling timber covered hills and the distant mountains. The units are adjacent to a large and well equipped kitchen and a spacious living area in the renovated dairy.
BYO food – there are free herbs picked fresh from the garden. Chemical-free beef and lamb grown on the farm, as well as frozen blueberries, can be purchased on site. Orders placed prior to stay.
Seaview Farm is a destination in itself as well as being central to many East Coast attractions.
There are three standard bedrooms in the old farm cottage. Each room has single beds only – one room has three and the others have two each. The cottage also has a new bathroom, extra shower and toilet, large well equipped kitchen and cosy living room with wood fire.
The cottage is rented out only as a whole – either as separate accommodation for up to seven people or can be used in conjunction with the units for a group stay of up to 15.
For groups there is a large living space in the old dairy with a long table seating 14. The barrel heater keeps this area very warm and it is adjacent to the barbecue facilities.
Two night minimum stay required.
Each unit contains a double room with bathroom – toilet, shower, washbasin and hair dryer. Two of the units have double beds only, one has a double and single bed and the fourth a queen size bed. All have tea and coffee facilities (plunger coffee available) plus heater and electric blankets. Moreover they all have magnificent views of the rolling hills, distant mountains and ocean. The rooms are basic – no spa bath or Wi-Fi in room – but are individualistic, comfortable, clean and warm with very hot showers. These by themselves are not self contained but there is now a modern kitchen as well as rustic, unique sitting room for use by the guests in the units.
