Hillwood Road Meditation Skills Centre

Landmarks and Buildings

Not just for meditators, this is a place where anyone can enjoy the views, ask for advice or join in a good conversation. The centre is beside a creek and surrounded by hobby farms in the quiet beauty of North East Tasmania.

The building was once an apple shed and the original beams and weatherboards can still be seen. The decor includes apple memorabilia and a three metre high apple mandala. There are low-cost meditation meetings three times a week and newcomers are very welcome to attend.

For a fee you may also be able to arrange to use the building for your own rest or meditation, and/or arrange a private session for meditation tuition or counselling. Country-style accommodation is available nearby. A guidebook for bush walks and beaches in the area is available for $15.
