80 per cent of kiteboarding is kite control. The important first step is the fastest and safest way to develop solid kite skills while learning about the wind, power zones, safety and kiteboarding equipment. This lesson is on the beach and mostly hands-on.

This two hour hit the water lesson with Kite Republic is broken up into two parts, the first hour consists of the Kite Pilot techniques on land, then in the second hour it is time to get wet. From the safety of the water you will learn powered body drags, how to re-launch your kite and self-rescue techniques. Your goal is safe, confident control in the water.

Become a kitesurfer and get hooked on this exhilarating sport with Kite Republic.

The six hour Addiction Package is broken up into three separate lessons which is best done over different days. The first part of the lessons is two hours, consisting of the ‘Kite Pilot’ and ‘Hit the Water’ skills, then the next lessons consists of introducing the board into the mix, and aiming to get you up and riding and becoming an independent kiter.

The package is designed to take you from no previous kitesurfing knowledge and aim to get you to a stage where you know how to be safe out on the water and confident to be able to purchase gear and practice the skills you have learnt in the lessons.

This is the best value package for learning, and upon completion, you will also receive a free Kite Republic t-shirt, and IKO certification.

Kite Republic Audio Headset Coaching – Take your skills to the next level with Kite Republic’s Audio Headset Coaching.

A private two hour one-on-one lesson using ‘Bb Talkin’ Bluetooth Headsets. Get real time audio feedback between you and your instructor via a waterproof Bluetooth action sports intercom service.

Being in a windy environment that is often hard to hear, this is the perfect way to communicate with your instructor from a safe distance to try new skills and tricks, whilst getting real time hands free instructions and feedback.

Suited right from beginner through to advanced, for all styles. Kite Republic has IKO qualified instructors ready to teach you anything from basic skills, right up to the latest advanced tricks, and everything in between.

Learn to Kite Foilboard, or improve your current Kite Foilboarding skills with Kite Republic’s comprehensive pathway to learning.

These Kite Foilboard Lessons in Melbourne are the perfect way to kick start your foiling adventure and get you confidently handling, and then riding your foil.

Lessons include all kiteboarding equipment, Bluetooth two-way headset for communication during the lesson and a kite Foilboard with three different mast heights to make your learning curve smoother and more efficient.

Kire Republic suggest that in order to make the most of your lessons that you are at a stage that you can confidently ride upwind and land small controlled jumps on your regular equipment.

What’s next once you get started? As well as a fantastic social foilboarding program run each fortnight, Kite Republic offer a number of different boards that you can purchase to get you up and going. Are you already a confident kiter but finding it difficult to progress?

Then take a progression lesson with Kite Republic and let their advanced instructors take your riding to the next level.

Enjoy one or two hours of private one-on-one tuition to help you land a new trick, try a new style of riding such as riding a kitesurf directional board, or work on anything you feel you need help with such as self-launching and self-landing.

Warwick Lee, the Kite Republic SUP Centre manager runs morning training groups, as well as a number of weekend Ocean Paddles when there’s a gap in the race schedule. Come along and have the opportunity to trial stand-up paddle boarding equipment from KR SUP Centre and view gear demonstrations.

The HMB Sup Vic Training Group is a collective of like-minded people who not only enjoy the buzz of stand-up paddling but also enjoy the fitness, health and mental benefits it brings. They are very inclusive and welcome people to come and train with them, despite ability level, fitness or whatever board you paddle.

SUP Hire on St Kilda Beach IS BACK! Come down and make the most of this awesome adventure!

Right in the heart of St Kilda Beach, KR SUP offers an awesome experience on fantastic SUP hire equipment. Ideal for a single paddler right up to large groups. If you’re in the area then getting out there on a SUP is a must. If you’re lucky you’ll spot some Fairy Penguins on and around the St Kilda Breakwall.

Explore the water at your own pace and hire Stand Up Paddleboards from our Red Paddle tent in front of Republica restaurant in St Kilda, or from the KR shop just through the courtyard. You don’t need any previous paddling experience to rent a board. We will provide you with a short introduction on land and make sure that your gear is set up right so you’ll have the best start out there.
