Join them to explore one of Australia’s most outstanding national parks. The Prom so-called by its many admirers is the most southerly point of mainland Australia and it encompasses both magnificent coastal and mountain scenery.

The Grampians and Great Ocean Coastal Trail combine the majestic splendour of the rugged Grampian’s National Park with the spectacular coastline of the Port Campbell and former Otway’s National Park.

On the Discover Victoria’s High Country tour, you’ll be based in Dinner Plain which is a unique alpine village located on the edge of the Alpine National Park – it is the perfect location for you to discover the Victorian high country.

Discover pristine walking trails beside sparkling waterways and deserted beaches of Mallacoota. Travel around Mallacoota Inlet and surrounds aboard the historic MV Lochard and the Gipsy Princess. Enjoy delicious dinners in a stylish boutique guesthouse.

Join Walkabout Gourmet Adventures to explore one of Australia’s most beautiful national parks. Wilson’s Prom is the most southerly point of mainland Australia and encompasses magnificent coastal and mountain scenery – over 700 species of native plants exist and prolific wildlife. The only way to experience the Prom is on foot.

The tour highlights some of the park’s most beautiful areas. You pass through a variety of vegetation from bush to luxuriant, moist fern gullies. These harbour magnificent white sandy beaches, washed by spectacular rolling surf. The countryside surrounding Wilson’s Prom is home to rich farmlands which produce Australia’s best dairy products, fine meats, poultry and crisp vegetables.

The area is also noted for several excellent vineyards and a boutique brewery.

The perfect and pristine retreat is tucked into the coast of Waratah Bay where guests return each evening to delicious gourmet meals.

Experience the majestic splendour of the magnificent Grampians with Walkabout Gourmet Adventures. This unique area offers spectacular mountain scenery with peaks over 1,000 metres and numerous species of wildlife.

In spring, the national park is ablaze with an endless variety of wildflowers – it truly is a botanical paradise. Before European settlement in Australia, a large part of the Grampians was occupied by aboriginals. Today, the region contains the greatest concentration of Aboriginal rock paintings in Victoria.

The Port Campbell and Otway National Parks are perfect locations for some fascinating coastal walking. Explore long stretches of un-spoilt coastline and walk in the rainforest hinterland which provides shelter for an array of unique wildlife. You will visit the famous 12 Apostles – huge limestone pillars worn and weathered by the stormy southern ocean. The magnificent Melba Gully is the jewel of the Otway National Park and is renowned for its dense forests of myrtle beech.

You’ll be based in Dinner Plain which is a unique alpine village located on the edge of the Alpine National Park – it is the perfect location and setting for you to discover the Victorian high country.

The region encompasses some of Australia’s most iconic peaks – Mt. Bogong, Mt. Feathertop and Mt. Howitt. There are some stunning walks which lead to the summits of these mountains, however, there are also more gentle trails meandering through the majestic snow gums. In spring and summer, the area is ablaze with colourful alpine wildflowers.

Mallacoota is a quiet village nestled in the midst of the magnificent Croajingolong National Park and is the perfect place to explore the pristine coastal wilderness of East Gippsland.

The extraordinary diversity of landscapes and ecosystems of Croajingolong NP – pure white sandy beaches, rambling heathlands, rocky coastal headlands, granite peaks, lush rainforests and towering eucalypts – have been recognised by UNESCO which nominated the park as a World Biosphere Reserve.

Enjoy leisurely walks around Mallacoota Inlet and its waterways. Take a wilderness cruise around Bottom Lake on the historic MV Lochard which was built in 1910.

Mallacoota is home to 300 species of birds and is a popular place for bird-watching and a great place to see Victoria’s fauna in its native habitat.
