Head west to the scenic coastal route of West Coast Highway, then on to Yanchep National Park where you will view kangaroos, emus and be photographed cuddling a koala. Carry on north to Indian Ocean Drive and keeping a look out for wild kangaroos and emus with glimpses of massive sand dunes.
After a walk through the Discovery Centre, step into the weird and wonderful world of the Pinnacles. This 17,500 hectare lunar landscape has over 500,000 limestone pillars. With 20 years’ experience behind him, Rob will guide you to his favourite locations with an informative explanation of Pinnacle formation. With a bit of imagination, look out for “The Howling Wolf”, “The Koala”, “The Castle”, “The Ghost”, “The Praying Nuns”, plus many more. Head to the lookout where you will be in awe as you take in the vastness of the desert with the beautiful Indian Ocean backdrop.
Enjoy lunch in the town of Cervantes, named after the shipwreck and in turn, Miguel De Cervantes, the famous Spanish author who wrote Don Quixote and Man of La Mancha back in the 16th century.
