Larry Brandy Aboriginal Storyteller

Cultural and Theme Tours

Larry Brandy offers performances for visiting schools to Canberra which introduce them to Aboriginal culture. Larry’s performances go for about an hour and involve students in his performance. Larry will introduce students to how Aboriginal people hunted and found food in traditional times.

Larry Brandy is a Wiradjuri man from central NSW who has been storytelling for over 30 years. Larry is a regular performer in schools and preschools in the ACT and NSW. He has lived in Canberra for over 25 years.

Note: Larry does not talk about local Aboriginal culture because he is not Ngunnawal. Larry provides contacts if teachers want to know more about the local area.

Wiradjuri storyteller Larry Brandy will introduce your students to Aboriginal culture in a fun and interactive way. He involves your students as they become hunters, kangaroos and emus as they learn how Aboriginal people hunted and found food in traditional times.

Larry uses real artefacts as well as animal masks to involve your students. He can cater to any number of students in his one hour performance.
