Things To Do Parkes, Canberra, Australian Capital Territory
Galleries, Museums and Collections
The Treasures Gallery highlights the extraordinary holdings of the National Library of Australia. From maps and rare books to manuscripts, photographs, oil paintings and watercolours, this is where you will find many of the Library’s most unexpected and unique items. Be intrigued, surprised, challenged and amazed by the stories our treasures tell.
Our displays change regularly, so we have exciting new stories to share. They include exquisite eighteenth-century watercolours of Australian birds by Sarah Stone, a ‘Wanted’ poster and revolver associated with bushranger Ben Hall, and displays about the 2000 Sydney Bridge Walk and writer and critic, Clive James.
