Ausdance ACT presents Site-Specific Solo Composition Dance in Nature Workshop

Classes, Lessons, Workshops and Talks

7 May 2022 Once Only Event

A fantastic offering as part of Ausdance ACT’s 2022 Workshop Series presented during Australian Dance Week presented in partnership with Ainslie and Gorman Arts Centre.

Join dance artists Debora Di Centa and Helena-Maria Da Costa to explore movement composition and how to create site-specific dance in nature. Prepare your body and mind to explore tasks, work alone and with others and connect to the surroundings.

This workshop is suitable for movers 18 years plus.

Important information on the day:

This workshop is conceived to be held outdoors in nature. Be prepared to work on uneven surfaces, walk-on small tracks and connect with trees, and sit and roll on grass or other surfaces.
We recommend everyone wear comfortable warm clothes such as long trousers, long sleeve jumpers, gymnastic shoes or similar and bring a hat and jacket as it could be a little cold and windy outside. Bring a snack and your water bottle, notebook and pen and a small blanket.

Most of all bring your openness and enthusiasm!

In case of bad weather, they will be taking the workshop indoors to The Ralph Wilson Theatre at Gorman Arts Centre, Batman Street Braddon.
