Australia in Colour Season 2 + Q&A

Festivals and Celebrations

16 Apr 2021 Once Only Event

Adding colour brings Australia’s filmed past to life. The National Film and Sound Archive (NFSA) presents an episode from the new, second season of Australia in Colour that covers sport and entertainment in the years following Federation.

It features sporting heroes like Phar Lap, the Australian cricket team and the introduction of surf lifesavers at Bondi Beach.

Narrated by Hugo Weaving, Australia in Colour gives us a chance to relive history from a fresh perspective.

The second season follows the initial four-part series that screened on SBS in early 2019 to great acclaim.

Join the National Film and Sound Archive after the screening for a Q&A session with producer Jo-anne McGowan and NFSA Senior Digital Colourist Craig Dingwall.
