Craftivist banner workshop

Classes, Lessons, Workshops and Talks

23 Nov 2019

Join artist and #UDHRquilt Project coordinator Tal Fitzpatrick for a workshop that combines craft and activism.

Led by Tal, you’ll design your own protest banner, learn how to draw text and images to scale, and assemble your banner using a variety of crafting techniques – from hot-gluing to hand-stitching!

This workshop is a chance to take part in our democracy by voicing your opinions though craft, sharing with and learning from other participants, and exploring do-it-yourself avenues for citizenship and activism.

Completed banners will be displayed as part of our #UDHRquilt Project exhibition until February 2020. Makers will be able to retrieve their banners after this time.

All materials provided.

This workshop is free and suitable for beginner and experienced crafters.
