A tumbling commotion of musicians and acrobats collide in an explosive collaboration of contemporary circus and music from the English Baroque.
The first collaboration with Circa French Baroque in 2015 won a Helpmann Award. In 2017 Spanish Baroque was a sold-out sensation.
In 2019 English Baroque with Circa becomes the third daring collaboration between the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra and Circa. An inspired pasticcio by Paul Dyer and Yaron Lifschitz, with music from 16th and 17th-century England and featuring the beautiful voice of soprano Jane Sheldon, English Baroque with Circa will have you gripping your seat and gasping in awe. This breathtaking combination of Circa acrobats and Brandenburg musicians will have you spellbound from the first note to the last.
Immerse yourself in this dazzling experience of contemporary circus and enchanting English masque and theatre music where the concert hall is transformed, exploding with sound, colour and movement.
