In Conversation with Laura Tingle

Community Event

27 Nov 2020 Once Only Event

Laura Tingle and Don Russell will be in conversation on Laura’s new quarterly essay The High Road: What Australia Can Learn from New Zealand.

This event is a part of HERE I AM: Art By Great Women and will be held at Manning Clark Theatre Kambri Cultural Centre.

Australia and New Zealand are often considered close cousins. But why, despite being so close, do we know so little about each other? In this wise and illuminating essay, Laura Tingle looks at leadership, economics, history and more.

Laura Tingle is chief political correspondent for ABC-TV’s 7.30. She won the Paul Lyneham Award for Excellence in Press Gallery Journalism in 2004, and Walkley awards in 2005 and 2011.

Dr Don Russell served as Australia’s Ambassador to the USA in Washington during the Clinton years and was Principal Adviser to the Hon Paul Keating both during his time as Treasurer and Prime Minister.

This event is in association with Harry Hartog Bookshop with book signings both before and after the event.
