Richard Ortega Productions brings the amazing Kuban Firez to Canberra.

You will be transported to the barrios of Cuba listening to the sultry voice of Mr Buena Vista himself, Francisco Toledo. Francisco’s love of Cuban music and his close renditions to the Buena Vista Social Club will totally enthrall you. Uptempo arrangements of some of the old Cuban favourites as well as some exhilarating original compositions will have you dancing in your seat from the first note.

Our beautiful Wendy Parra adds a new dimension to our shows with her exciting renditions of some of haunting Cuban songs and our original songs on Climate change and equality. .
Cuban music seeps into your soul and projects the images in our minds of the Cuba we love and our music and song will complete that magic.

You will be deeply moved by “My Burning Country” written last January, as the fires raged around us and our song fighting for equality “Don’t Let my death be for naught”.
Our dancers complete the ambience of the barrios of Cuba and will entrance you with their exciting interpretations.
Also starring are our energetic Cuban Percussionists Yuri Yurisander and Yorden Medina who will provide the Afro Cuban soul to our music, Amazing Amy McCarthy, Victor Jimenez, Carlos Prada, Salva Montoya, Olympia Karanges .
