Live at the Museum – On a Barbarous Coast

Community Event

30 Jul 2020

On a Barbarous Coast presents a compelling alternative to Captain James Cook’s story, re-imagined from both a European and Indigenous writer’s perspective—together creating a unique and intriguing retelling of the past. On a Barbarous Coast is a black and white collaborative story for our times, a fierce re-imagining of a past and future that might have been.

Authors Craig Cormick and Harold Ludwick explore their thought-provoking novel with curator Ian Coates on Live at the Museum. Craig will be at the Museum, with Harold joining by livestream from Cooktown.

Join the conversation on Thursday 31 July, on YouTube at 12.30pm. Limited seating available on site.
