31 Jul 2021 to 25 Aug 2021 Once Only Event
Standing on the shoulders of two well received editions of Life in the Landscape, we’re excited to launch chapter three of this series of collaborative photography workshops, Life in the Landscape – III – Parkwood.
Led by local photographer Sari Sutton, this chapter will focus on exploring the remnants of human activity in Sustainability Street, Recycling Circuit and Parkwood Road on the border of the ACT and NSW. In this instalment, a small group of artists work together over several weeks exploring how to capture different facets of a Canberra location. Participants will have opportunity to work both digital and analog using the PhotoAccess darkroom facilities during the course of the workshop. The collaboration will culminate in a PhotoAccess photobook publication.
Participants will be given the option of using either or both an analogue or digital camera and will have the freedom to then explore using the PhotoAccess Darkroom or Digital Suite, which included two flatbed scanners (to scan negatives) and two Mac desktop computers with Lightroom and Photoshop. Participants are also welcome and encouraged to use their own laptops.
This workshop is for beginners through to experienced analogue and or digital photographers, but we recommend that you are fairly confident with using your camera.
