Canberra’s best purveyors of Roots/Reggae, Dub/Jazz + Latin/Ska join forces for one huge unique night that features special ONE-OFF collaborations on stage between bands

Featuring: all local line-up taking you from heavyweight Dub, authentic Roots + Rocksteady to brass infused Latin Ska and Gypsy Reggae!

Los Chavos – Latin Ska
The bands signature energy coupled with complex arrangements and a variety of Afro-Latin rhythms such as cumbia, dub/reggae, merengue – never straying too far from their ska/reggae roots. Romantic ballads were given a ska/cumbia twist and hard-hitting merengue horns are mixed with calypso-hiphop!

Kopasetic  – Roots Rocksteady
Playing original music infused by rocksteady beats with technical bass and finergstyle guitar, and lyrics that convey earnest commentary on modern political corruption and social injustice. Kopasetic has a bizarre fusion at their command that is both unique and impressive.

Shadow ministers – Dub Jazz
This quartet explores live dub styles with a roots/jazz inflection – experimenting with deep dub foundations and surreal atmospheres. New worlds collide in a space echo with original tunes and rare versions from this new dub juggernaut.

The Decideds – Gypsy Reggae
A 7 piece band weaving intricate Latin beats, punchy ska-inspired horn lines, haunting Gypsy melodies, belty-diva female vocals. The Decideds are guaranteed to get even the most socially-distanced crowd up and dancing.
