Boffins Restaurant at University House

Set in the ANU’s tranquil grounds next to the city’s stylish New Acton precinct, University House is truly one of Canberra’s unique locations and experiences. Boffins at University House, has recently undergone refurbishment as well as a change in its food and beverage offerings.

Boffins facelift in 2018 saw the original “Oxford” style furnishing make space for a lighter, more modern styling. There are ample references to Boffins history and newly rediscovered heritage features, such as the original Queensland walnut timber floors .

The new team is focusing on a high level of service and food quality.

Passionate about local, seasonal and fresh products, partnerships have been developed with local/ regional producers, focusing on one to two individual products grown in the region and in season.

Here you will experience the best produce available served on locally created and crafted flatware, with daily baked breads and artisan butter, olive oils are from the farms and fields around Canberra with flavours varying based on soil, and varietal.

Boffins, a casual, contemporary dining experience.
