Bookplate: At the National Library

Restaurant and Cafe

Bookplate is a cafe that believes in the simple and healthy things done well. Bookplate celebrates food and makes what they can by hand, including a large range of housemade cakes and petit slices. They are a multi-award winning dining destination, most recently at the Restaurant & Catering Awards as winners of Cafe of the Year in the ACT for 2016 & 2017.

From the bar they offer fresh pressed juices, healthy smoothies, classic and craft beers and local wines. Stop by and have a chat with their highly skilled baristas who are proud to offer espresso coffee and tea.

Located within the National Library of Australia, Bookplate has a warm and inviting indoor dining space as well as an outdoor terrace with magnificent panoramic views of Lake Burley Griffin.
