Callicoma Hill Eco-Cabins offers complete peace and quiet in the mountains, surrounded by the forest and views over the Hunter Valley.
Stay in a self-contained three bedroom eco-cabin. Alternatively, there is a separate simple 10-bed bunkhouse and a large bush camping area set up specially for groups.
It is a peaceful retreat where you can enjoy fresh air, views, walks, and native wildlife. Callicoma Hill is 45 minutes north of Singleton, and an hour from the edge of the vineyard areas. It is near Mount Royal National Park and the world heritage listed rainforests of the Barrington Wilderness.
Enjoy mountain, cloud and sunset views 70 kilometres across the Hunter Valley. Watch kangaroos and listen to the birds. Take an easy bushwalk or challenge yourself by climbing a nearby mountain with spectacular views. Or simply sit on the verandah and do nothing!
The eco-cabin is set near the edge of the forest, is self-contained and features environmentally sustainable design and technology, such as solar electricity and a wood fired stove for cooking and water heating.
The bunkhouse and camping areas are set in their own private forest clearing, where you can relax and enjoy the nature surrounding you.
The bunkhouse can sleep up to 10 people and has six single bunks, with a double bed and two single bunks in an adjoining room. A wood fuel stove is provided for heating and simple cooking. Basic kitchen equipment is provided. Guests must bring their own bedding, linen and all provisions.
A separate bathroom with flush toilet, hot shower and washbasin is situated 50 metres from the bunkhouse. An outdoor under-cover cooking and eating area with gas barbecue adjoins it. A wood barbecue and campfire (use subject to fire restrictions) are nearby.
Unpowered bush camping sites are located near to the bunkhouse and can be booked in conjunction with the bunkhouse.Barbecue Heating Linen not supplied Outdoor Dining Area Outdoor Furniture

Unpowered ‘bush camping’ sites for groups are provided in a private camping area in a forest clearing for up to 50 people. Only one booking is taken at a time for the camping or bunkhouse area, meaning that you will not need to share the area with other groups.
Facilities for campers are shared with the bunkhouse, and include a 6m x 8m covered eating area with benches and tables, drinking water from a rainwater tank, gas BBQs, and a bathroom with flush toilet and hot shower. A campfire is also provided (weather permitting).
Campers need to provide their own tents and all provisions. There is no electricity, apart from night lighting.
There is plenty of space for games, and easy forest walks on the property can also be made. More walks and touring can be done in nearby Mount Royal National Park.Barbecue Linen not supplied Open fireplace Outdoor Dining Area Outdoor Furniture Unpowered Site Kitchenware Linen not supplied Lounge/Dining Area Outdoor Furniture Refrigerator Shower Tea/Coffee making facilities
