Saltbush Bill

Saltbush Bill is a cartoon character created by Eric Jolliffe, depicting a sheep drover with a whip in hand and best mate at foot. This sculpture stands in Evonne Goolagong Park in Yapunyah Street, Barellan.

Country people over the years have suffered heartbreak in many forms but have always kept their sense of humour in these times of adversity. Barellan residents hope Saltbush Bill will remind them all of how good country life can be.
