Located in central Wagga, established in 1995, Best Street Art Studios, with it’s lush garden gallery is a creative oasis.

Owner/curator/teacher and wise woman, Kathryn Powderly, describes her home and working studios as a place,” where people come together to discover their innate creativity and share their ideas and insights with others. ”

Best Street Art Studios is a gathering space. A place where stories, wisdom and most importantly laughter is shared. These artistic pursuits give rise to strong supportive connections between the potters. Pottery involves time. Time to pound, roll, mould and shape clay. Time to select colours from the huge range of glazes. Time to mindfully paint several coats. Gatherings include rituals such as tea and cake sharing in Kath’s warm and inviting studios . Visitors are welcome by appointment.

Art has always been a passion of Kathryn’s, but it was when she discovered clay in her 20’s that her fire for creation accelerated to a new high. With clay as her focus, Kathryn had to build two fully operating ceramic art studios incorporating a glaze room, a woodwork area and a new kitchen, shower and disabled toilet.
