Pick your own cherries for a great fun morning out or buy them freshly picked and packed. The flavour direct from this Mudgee orchard is amazing.
This family farm opens on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday mornings in season 7.30am to 1pm late November to mid December. Fruit ripeness depends on the seasonal weather, so the timing can vary each year, the first two weekends in December are most reliable each year.
They have five varieties of cherries: Samba, Simone, Rons, Vans and Black Star. Trees are pruned to keep them short making picking easy and fun for children and adults.
Bring your own bucket or bags to take cherries home, or they also have boxes for sale. An esky to keep your cherries fresh is a great idea if you are travelling far or plan to stop on the way home.
Cherries will keep longest if they are picked in the freshness of the morning, plan to come early if you can. You may like to travel to Mudgee the day before to enjoy the region and come to pick cherries early in morning.
Please note: the cherry season is now over and will open again late November 2019.
