After being closed for 514 days since the devastating floods of June 2016 they will finally open their doors for business!
As previously advised, they are opening the following, both Front Bars, TAB Room, Pokie Room, Courtyard and Accommodation.
Unfortunately the kitchen will not be operational, as it was so badly damaged in the floods, hoping to be completed in February 2018.
They have purchased their very own George IV Food Van, obviously given the size they are limited with their menu and what they can produce but rest assured they will have good quality food.
George Harper of ‘Abbotsford’ built the George IV Inn in 1839. The sweeping verandas, courtyard and sprawling sandstone structures are typical of this period. A boutique brewery has been established on the premises known as Scharer’s Little Brewery, with beer brewed in the traditional German method.
It is a traditional country pub with relaxed atmosphere, serving award winning, traditional German beer including over 15 beers from locally and well know Australian beers.
