Montague Island has some of the best diving on the South Coast. Island Charters will transport you to some of the finest dive sites in Australia on their PADI dive boat with either a dive master or Instructor for a guide and explore Montague Island in Batemans Marine Park. There is so much to see! From nudibranchs, sea horses and soft corals, to grey nurse sharks, various rays, port jackson as well as wobbegongs and, most popular of all, a huge colony of fur seals.

Divers never seem to tire of watching these inquisitive creatures that spend their days either lolling on the rocks or playing in the water. They are called the puppies of the sea due to their big brown eyes and playful nature. For experienced/accredited divers only.

Hop on board Dallas for a three hour cruise to track majestic whales. In spring, hundreds of whales travel along the coastline on their way north to breed and again on their return to Antarctica with their calves. Island Charters Narooma has had a 95 per cent success rate over 17 years of spotting whales.

Many come in very close to shore and you can often see several pods between Narooma and Montague Island. It is the most awesome experience to have an enormous whale slowly raise itself vertically beside the boat and look you in the eye; or to feel the vibrations as one leaps out of the water nearby and lands with an almighty splash.
