Lone Goat Gallery is Byron Shire’s premier community gallery, presenting emerging and established artists from the Northern Rivers region alongside National and International artists. Located in the Byron Bay Library building in downtown, just a short walk from Main Beach – a perfect quiet cultural haven from the hubbub of busy Byron Bay.
Lone Goat Gallery presents a monthly program of exhibitions, artists talks, workshops and residencies. Check their social media for latest events. The gallery programming reflects the diverse array arts practise in the Northern Rivers, showcasing emerging and established local artists as well as artists from further afield.
The name Lone Goat Gallery was inspired by the last goat of a small herd that used to roam the Cape Byron headland by the Lighthouse. Her strong independent spirit is a fitting parallel to the many creative and free-spirited individuals that make up this community.
