Oxley Museum – Relocating To New Premises – Opening Soon

Galleries, Museums and Collections

The John Oxley Museum houses a collection of historic artefacts tracing Wellington history from 1830 to the present time, containing many photographs and speciality displays. The museum is located in the former Bank of NSW building constructed in 1883, on the corner of Warne and Percy Streets in Wellington. The museum is staffed voluntarily by members of the Wellington Historical Society Incorporated. Family History enquiries are welcome to the Wellington Historical Society.

They carry out family research for a modest fee of AUD35. You can also carry out your own research for AUD5 plus AUD1/photocopy. They can provide you with a price for a copy of any photograph in their collection. This will depend on the size and how many you require.

COVID-19 restrictions apply.
