Wildside Sportfishing is a family owned guided fishing charter operating from South West Rocks, in Northern New South Wales.

They specialise in small personalised groups and offer ‘one on one’ tuition in targeting a range of game, sports and table fish.

Their Contender 25 Tournament is surveyed for four passengers and can travel out to 30 nautical miles offshore. It has twin 200 horsepower Yamaha outboards, 660 litre fuel capacity and three Simrad fish finders – meaning you get to the best fishing grounds, fast and comfortably. The ultimate sport fishing vessel!

A full day spent game fishing for the gladiators of the sea typically using 24 kilogram and 37 kilogram tackle.

Blue and black marlin, sailfish, wahoo and yellowfin tuna are some of the species they target.

They also use live and dead baits, technique will depend on the conditions of the day – mother nature dictates the terms.

These tours are considered the ultimate South West Rocks fishing adventure. They take care of the hassle so you can enjoy a well earned break!

You stay out on location in a lodge or house with easy access to nearby pubs, clubs and other entertainment.

Tours can encompass other activities such as Diving Fish Rock, Stand Up Paddle Boarding and Transfers to sights such as Smoky Cape lighthouse and Trial Bay Gaol ruins.

Packages can range from two days through to over week long, it is completely up to each crew.

An extended tour gives your group more time to fish through tide phases and weather patterns. Fish have ‘bite periods’ where they feed more actively, more time on the water will give you a better chance at accessing these prime times.
