Celebrate Goulburn’s Australia Day festivities at the Goulburn Historic Waterworks.
A free barbeque breakfast is held at Rotary Park, Marsden Weir 7.30am – 9.00am. The events run from 9am – 5pm with a range of food and market stalls, including the Aboriginal Arts and Culture Expo.
Enjoy water activities on the Wollondilly River with pedalo boats, stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking and pontoon battles! Bookings are made on the day at the Australia Day marquee.
The official ceremony commences 10am with a Welcome to Country, Smoking Ceremony and First Nation dancers.
The ceremony includes the Ambassador Address by Ellen Ryan, Local Citizen, Young Citizen, Event of the Year awards, the inaugural Junior and Senior Sportsperson of the Year and Citizenship Ceremony followed by live music 12pm – 4pm.
Other highlights include Helloworld Trivia, First Nations Workshops, trackless train rides, face painting and more!
Goulburn’s Australia Day Celebrations are open to all, with no pre-registration required and all activities are free of charge. Shuttle buses run from Victoria Park (Faithful Street, near Seiffert Oval entry) to the Waterworks 9am – 4pm.
