At this fun and unique Sydney cake decorating class, you will learn how to set up a vanilla cake that is layered and enclosed with buttercream. You will also work with wafer paper creating stunning modern edible décor.
During this hands-on class, you’ll be taken through various types of buttercream. You will learn how to cut, stack, fill and frost a round cake with a smooth buttercream to achieve sharp and clean looking sides and edges.
We will then move on to learning how to paint and manipulate wafer paper to create the sail and side strip. Next you will learn how to achieve a concrete coloured buttercream and create the fault line effect. Lastly, you will embellish your cake with gorgeous pearls and gold accents.
At the end of this class, you will leave knowing all about buttercream and how to colour it, the essential skill of layering and setting up a cake, how to work with wafer paper and how to decorate a cake with edible embellishments.
