Japanese Embroidery Kogin Class: Basics

Classes, Lessons, Workshops and Talks

1 May 2020 to 17 May 2020 Once Only Event

Kogin is one of the greatest Japanese traditional embroidery techniques, which originated over 200 years ago in Tsugaru, Aomori (Northern Japan). This technique is now very popular with existing sewing enthusiasts who are attracted to its beautiful and unique stitching patterns in colourful materials.

This fun and hands-on workshop is perfect for beginners and they’ll start with stitching techniques and making small items such as cover buttons, bookmarks, and coasters with choices of your fabric, thread and embroidery patterns.

All the materials are imported from Japan so you will get to enjoy an authentic and high quality experience. Enjoy a friendly and relaxed setting and leave the session with new skills, knowledge and all your beautiful creations.

Due to current advice on public gatherings, please contact the host of this event to confirm it is proceeding as planned.
