The Kiama Picnic Train is back bigger and better this spring!
Take your family and friends on a steam train journey to remember.
Your journey starts from either Tempe, Hurstville or Sutherland stations, then travelling south along the scenic South Coast line through the beautiful Royal National Park to the seaside town of Kiama.
Hauling the Kiama Picnic Train will be locomotive 5917, built by Baldwin (USA) in the 1950s for the NSW Government Railways.
After arrival at Kiama, you will have plenty of time to enjoy the many charms of this picturesque coastal town. Take a walk up to the famous Kiama Blowhole, relax at the Surf Beach or browse the Historic Terrace Houses. If lunching in Kiama, please book beforehand to avoid disappointment.
