Music in The Sky is a music experience that seeks to celebrate modern neoclassical music while immersing the audience in a Kaleidoscopic experience. This first of six minis celebrates the ciele “heavenly” qualities of the cello.
Staying true to Music in The Sky soul, a large part of the 65-minute program will be a blend of immersive neoclassical cello arrangements such as Hans Zimmer Interstellar, tunes from Ólafur Arnalds’s popular Living Room Songs and Gabriel’s Oboe from the movie The Mission. The program will also include chamber music such as Dushkin’s Sicilienne In E Flat Major and Faure’s 3 Mélodies, Op. 7 – Arr. Hazell: 1. Après un rêve, both played at the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Megan Markle.
Performing in a historic, sandstone tunnel at the Coal Loader in Waverton is the most amazing Cello trio: Eleanor Streatfeild, Anneliese McGee-Collet and lower north shore local Andrew Wilson. Supporting them on the piano is the outstanding Brieley Cutting.
To enhance the experience of the evening, each patron will be served either a glass of the premium James Estate Reserve Range Shiraz 2019* or Chardonnay 2019*. James Estate Wines are built on a foundation of quality, experience and a sense of “place” that encapsulates the lifestyle and creative spirit of the Upper Hunter Valley.
Children aged 4 and under do not need a ticket if seated on a parent or guardian’s lap.
