6 May 2022 to 7 May 2022 Annual Event
Join growers, celebrity chefs and artists to celebrate the rock oyster on the shores of Forster’s Bay, Narooma – the land of clear, blue water.
Discover the merroir of pristine South Coast estuaries along with tasty sustainable produce like fish and shellfish, abalone, urchins, kelp, dairy, olives, craft brewers and wineries and more. It’s a rare opportunity to taste the highest quality South Coast seafood usually destined for the tables of top restaurants around the world.
A highlight of the festival is Oyster Alley, and the chance to taste the merroir of oysters, the fruit of their provenance and unique growing environments. Private and festive food experiences also include Long Table Dinner, For The Love of the Land Dinner, Master Classes, the hotly contested Shucking Competition, live music, and all set against a backdrop of stunning national and marine parks. It’s a place where the warmth of the East Australian Current meets the nutrient-rich upwellings from the cool south, creating a pantry that has sustained people for tens of thousands of years.
In 2022 the festival will expand to include pop-up destination dining experiences in stunning and exclusive waterfront locations, oyster masterclasses throughout the region and a vintage van pop-up at major food and wine events in the ACT and NSW.
Festival tickets are on sale in November 2021.
