23 Oct 2020 to 18 Dec 2020 Weekly Event
Join Horticulturist and Historian, Paul Nicholson, on an exclusive buggy tour of the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney, Australia’s oldest botanic garden and a thirty-hectare paradise adjoining Sydney Harbour. Explore the site’s history, seasonal displays, heritage tree collection and meet some of the animals and insects that make this oasis in the city their home, on this 1.5-hour exclusive tour. Paul will share with you some the stories our more than 25,000 plants (more than 7,000 different species) have to tell. Bizarre stories of pollination, inspiring stories of resilience and tales of our plants’ connections to scientists, scientific discovery and even royalty.
The tour begins at The Calyx, featuring our latest display in BLOOM. Grab a coffee and explore the display before the tour. The tour finishes at Growing Friends Plant Sales, selling rare and unique plants from our living collection propagated by our volunteers.
Remember, it is your special tour, so be sure to let us know any specific interests or needs. Our buggy can take up to five guests. Booking is via primary contact.
Please contact Paul Nicholson if you have any questions or would like to book a group for a different day. (Note a premium applies to weekend bookings).
