Run Dungog is a community based trail running festival held annually at the Dungog Common. The event is completely non-profit with proceeds are supporting the ‘Horse Tales’ selected by the Dungog Shire Community Center and the vital work they conduct within the local community.
– Friday Carb loading dinner with race briefing.
– Saturday: Individual marathon (42 km), Team Relay marathon (10.5 km x 4 runners = 42 km total) (one booking per team of 4), Half-marathon (21 km)
– Sunday: 10 km, 5 km, 2 km Kids Fun Run (12 years and under) (FREE)
While the 42km Trail Marathon event is taking place there will be a mini outdoor festival at the Dungog Common. Coffee, local produce, craft beer, mulled wine and live music. Everyone is welcome. Bring a picnic blanket, a frisbee, your mountain bikes and your friends and family and come and spend the afternoon enjoying the Dungog Common and cheering on our runners. Since they are a plastic-free event you will need to carry your own hydration pack. Water refill is available every 5kms.
Run Dungog takes place on the land of the Gringai people, within the Karuah Aboriginal Land Council.
They acknowledge the traditional custodians, and pay respect to the Elders, past and present.
10km will start at 10am and the 5km will start at 10:10am
$25 for the 5km and $30 for the 10km. Please remember this is a community fundraising activity, not a for-profit event.
