Find your zodiac among 12 spectacular Lunar Lanterns in Circular Quay, the city centre and Haymarket. The Lunar Lanterns are a creative, contemporary interpretation of a centuries-old tradition.

Discover the culture

Chinese, Korean, Thai, Japanese, Vietnamese, Malaysian, Mongolian and Indonesian performers share their culture with traditional and contemporary dance and music. Watch contemporary and traditional dance, Japanese hip hop, Korean drumming and fashion shows.

Dine on a lunar feast

Sumptuous banquets, traditional Asian dishes and feasting galore – bring the family into the city and celebrate the Lunar New Year at a participating venue.
