Wild Koala Seminar Experts in Koalatown

Campbelltown City Council will be hosting a Wild Koala Seminar at Campbelltown Arts Centre on Wednesday 5 May. This is to celebrate the achievements of Koalatown, one year on, from the launch.

This seminar will feature four experts who have been working in the field with our Campbelltown koalas and are presenting on the topics of koala health, research and science.

The evening will feature the following guest presenters:
Dr. Steve Phillips, Biolink – Campbelltown koala population monitoring
Dr. Kellie Leigh, Brie Sloggett, Science for Wildlife – Post rehabilitation monitoring project, koala scat dog training
Associate Prof. David Phalen, Koala Health Hub, University of Sydney – Our koalas are doing well but there are some threats lurking
Dr Ben Moore, Western Sydney University – Untangling the impacts of climate change on koalas.

This event will give the community an opportunity to hear direct from professionals on the projects they are working on within Campbelltown. Celebrate the scientific advancements and gain knowledge on future actions we can all take to further protect our local colony.
